Sunflowa Soul grew up in between Ville Platte and New Orleans and is the owner, spirit and creativity behind Love, Peace and Tastie Sweets, a mobile eatery serving a variety of vegan meals and desserts. Sunflowa believes that food is a community-builder that, combined with the power of collaboration, can bring wholeness and feed the world. Sunflowa’s great-grandmother, Mrs. Annie, is a big inspiration behind her journey into her home-based vegan business. In her kitchen, Sunflowa creates sacred space and sets the mood before making her famous pumpkin-spiced cookies or her one-of-a-kind chickpea salad dish, a recipe that she adapted from her grandmother’s potato salad recipe. Today, Sunflowa takes what she learned from her ancestors to make delicious and healthy foods using the fewest ingredients.
